Method
How to Make Sautéed Mushrooms with Spinach
- Start by washing your mushrooms and slicing them evenly to ensure uniform cooking. Clean and rinse the spinach, mince the garlic, and squeeze the lemon for its juice.
- In a large skillet, pour in 2 tablespoons of olive oil, heating it over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Add the sliced mushrooms in a single layer. Let them cook undisturbed for about 3-4 minutes until they reach a beautiful golden-brown color.
- Gently stir the mushrooms occasionally, cooking for an additional 5-7 minutes until they soften and deepen in color.
- Once the mushrooms are sautéed, add your minced garlic. Sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Gradually add the spinach in batches, tossing gently to wilt it. Cook for 2-3 more minutes until the spinach is vibrant green and tender.
- Sprinkle in salt and pepper to taste, then pour in the lemon juice for a zesty finish. Mix well and serve hot!
